Flaine

Flaine is a good resort for families as it has pedestrian streets and excellent entertainment features.
It is also has one of the best snowfalls in the Alps, so keen skiers should not have to miss out on a day of valuable skiing time.

Being set at 1400m it is a pretty snowsure resort, and with many slopes being north and north west facing they tend to hang onto their snow.

It owes its convenience to being a purpose built resort made in the 60s and 70s. It has predominantly self-catering accommodation available but the surrounding villages offer many alternatives.
