The Financial Services Authority (FSA)
The FSA is the independent watchdog that regulates financial services. It requires us to give you this document. You should use this information to decide if our services are right for you.
What services will we provide you with?
We will provide you with either comparable details of firms most appropriate to your insurance requirements or general information relating to insurance products. You will not receive advice, or a recommendation from us, but we may ask questions to narrow down the selection of firms offered, from which you can more easily make your own choice if you so wish.
What products do we offer?
We identify potential suppliers from a panel of insurance companies and insurance brokers - a full list is shown with quotations online, or is available upon request.
Ski Hire Insurance
We will introduce you to a ski hire insurer(s) with whom you can transact business if you so wish.
Other FSA regulated and non FSA regulated products
We either offer selected products we consider to be competitive, or suggest companies who might be able to help you identify services that will meet your needs.
What will you have to pay us for our services?
Our services can be accessed free of charge. However Ski Hire Europe offer a membership scheme for which an annual fee is levied which allows members to access discounted rates for some of the services offered.
Who regulates us?
Ski Hire Europe and ski-hire-europe.com is the trading name of moneymaximiser limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Our firms reference number is 496690. You can check this on the FSA's Register by visiting the FSA's website: www.fsa.gov.uk/register/home.do or by contacting them on 0845 606 1234.
Other services we offer are not regulated by the FSA however the Financial Ombudsman Services has now been extended to handle some complaints under the Consumer Credit Act.
We are an independently owned company and not influenced by suppliers of services in any way. This ensures our impartiality.

Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)
As with all firms directly authorised by FSA dealing with Retail Customers, Moneymaximiser is covered by the FSCS.
This is the body established to operate and administer the compensation scheme, set up by major insurance companies, to compensate consumers when authorised firms are unable, or likely to be unable, to satisfy claims against them.
As from 1st January 2010, Compensation limits vary dependent upon the type of insurance claim. Compulsory Insurance (e.g. motor insurance) remains unchanged and is covered for 100% of the claim with no upper limit. Non-compulsory insurance (e.g. home and general insurance products) however, is covered up to a maximum of 90% of the claim with no upper limit. Insurance advice and arranging insurance will also be covered up to 90% with no upper limit.
