2. Why is this important?

   2.1

   Please read this carefully, as by using our telephone, store or website services or by requesting that we undertake searches, comparisons or other business on your behalf (our services), it is assumed you have read and accepted this Privacy Policy.

3. What data and information will we collect and why

   3.1

   We may record your details and information when you give it to us when using our services in order we can provide you with quotations for services and update you with information that might benefit you when appropriate. In providing these services we may store details of your transactions or details of your financial information. We will review your data from time to time to ensure we are not retaining it longer than is appropriate.

   3.2

   We may also use your data to communicate with you, enable you to use our services, process transactions with third party suppliers and to help us adapt our services so they are appropriate to you.

4. Passing on information to third parties

   4.1

   The nature of our services mean that we have to share your information with third parties from whom we believe may be able to offer the services you have requested. We may also be required to share information with regulatory bodies such as the Financial Services Authority to assist in our compliance monitoring.

5. Communications Policies

   5.1

   We would like to keep you informed regarding services and products we think would be of benefit to you, by telephone, letter, text messages, e-mail, digital television and other electronic means - in doing so we may pass your details to companies either within the moneymaximiser group, or with contracted partners who might deal with such communications on our behalf. You can remove your consent to us undertaking such action by writing to us providing your full name and address and if one has been issued user name, or by ticking the appropriate box on application forms, registration forms or other mediums.

   5.2

   You can ask us at any time to stop passing your information to third parties, although please be aware that this may well prohibit us from providing some, or all, of our services to you.

   5.3

   If we send newsletters or communications by e-mail on products and services we will include clear instructions allowing you to unsubscribe at any time.

   5.4

   If you provide feedback on your experience of either our services, services provided by partners, or those provided by other companies we may publish this externally, including but not exclusively, on our website, on printed material and in Press Releases. Please either use a screen name, pseudonym or pen name or alternatively do not leave feedback if you do not agree to this. If in retrospect you wish any feedback to be removed we will action this immediately, although if this is on printed material this may not occur until the material is next reprinted.

   We also may track customers paths through our site, so we can understand what pages draw customers, and which do not work as well.
